Indian Printer and Publisher ENL No.104
Feb 12, 2009

Hello

This IPP newsletter should have reached you earlier and it should have spoken more about the Hunkeler Innovation days that will take place next week in Lucerne, Switzerland. This is an extremely unusual opportunity to see all the digital presses in action while connecting to the finishing options that most of us dream about but which real digital printers actually buy.

All digital press manufacturers including Oce, HP, Screen, Xeikon, Xerox, Kodak, Infopress and Nipson are there at the event from 16 to 19 February. They will demonstrate every type of solution that can be imagined using a digital press while connected to Hunkeler and other third part options. Books on demand, transactional, RFID, folding, perforating, cooling, inserting, stacking, you name it -- and it can be done inline, and automated. This is an opportunity to see how solutions can be automated competitively to make money out of digital printing.

A contingent of 25 Indians is going to Lucerne. Among these are more than half a dozen of the most serious digital printers in the subcontinent. These are the guys who have heavy hitters for customers, and who are looking for industrial strength solutions. It looks it will be exciting. If your Schengen visa is ready and you still want to go and don’t mind making trouble for other people, you can still contact Arun Gandhi at Capital Graphics in Delhi (cgsasp@nde.vsnl.net.in). Of course this means you have to open this email first and catch him before the weekend.

Meanwhile please put a banner on our websites and our email newsletters. To do this you can contact
in Noida at (ads@ippgroup.in and +91-9999115816). European supporters should contact Michael Seidl (+43-6764109330 m.seidel@printernet.at).
