September has been busy and it’s not over yet. After producing two editions of the Content & Media newsletter at the Delhi Book Fair, we are geared up to produce the official daily IFRA Gazette at the Publish Asia Conference and IFRA Expo at Chennai on 24 and 25 September 2009. The show is from 23 to 25 with special pre-conference seminars on 22 September.
WAN-IFRA has just announced a Special Report on “New Printing Plants.” Based on a project managed by a German-Indian research group it will be the subject of a presentation at the Publish Asia-IFRA conference next week.
Ferag has set up its India office in Delhi. Swedish manufacturer Tolerans recently introduced a revolutionary alternative for trimming – the Double Motorised Tab Slitter. Other stories in this newsletter include our interaction with translators in their own words. Si

HP has started its exploration of various verticals for digital printing – their first attempt was a matchmaking event for digital printers with end-users in the hospitality vertical.
