We are back from IFRA India Expo and Publish Asia Conference in Chennai from 23 to 25 September. Indian Printer & Publisher brought out the IFRA Gazette jointly with IFRA on 24 and 25 September. The Expo and Conference was inaugurated by Reiner Mittelbach, CEO, WAN-IFRA and N Murali, Director IFRA India and MD, The Hindu.

Other news in the newsletter includes Naph Graphics, who was also at IFRA Expo Chennai, and have sold two Offsetters and one Koncept Press. Newsprint prices have halved this year when compared to last year. New editions are constantly being launched in India, with ABP group launching Spectator India and Mint launches its Chennai edition. In commercial printing, HP introduces the second season of its ‘Trade In Trade Out Program’. The Ghent PDF Workgroup (GWG) is observing a major general meeting scheduled for Oc tober 29 and 30 in San Jose.
