The Indian label market continues to explode with more than 100 new narrow web label presses expected to be installed this year. WebTech in Mumbai which already has 16 narrow web flexo label presses and one Xeikon digital press, has just signed for two new Xeikon 3030 digital label presses. When you ask WebTech’s Amar Chhajed what’s next, he laughs. “It’s a continuous process,” he says.
HP is successfully encouraging the use of digital print on fabric by collaborating with fashion design students in Mumbai and elsewhere.
