Garron Helman designated managing director of Kodak’s GCG in the Greater Asia Region 30May05

On May 10, 2005, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group (GCG) announced that Garron Helman, currently managing director of Creo Asia Pacific and corporate vice president, Creo Inc., will be appointed managing director, Sales and Operations, for GCG's Greater Asia Region (GAR) following the completion of the Creo acquisition. We learned this first hand on 11 May at the Creo press conference in Beijing at which Although the merger has got past its first approval, Helman spoke about Creo’s strategy in China and answered questions with the proviso that he couldn’t make any statements about the GCG consolidation till it was completely out of the approval stage. Helman also attended the Printpack05 exhibition in Delhi in January.

Earlier, KPG's current vice president of sales Kevin Joyce was picked as the managing director of sales and operations for the GCC in the United States and Canada region. The current president of KPG in Japan, Dr. Kiyoo Shimada, is taking over as managing director for sales and operations for the GCG in Japan. Gustavo Oviedo, the current vice president and general manager for KPG in the Latin American region, is taking over as managing director for sales and operations in his region. Another recent appointment was that of Israel Sandler, Creo’s managing director in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, who is to take responsibility for the GCG across the same regions.
