HP to buy MacDermid ColorSpan

Hewlett-Packard said Thursday it agreed to buy MacDermid ColorSpan Inc., which makes wide-format digital inkjet printers. Palo Alto-based HP. Hewlett-Packard said Thursday it agreed to buy MacDermid ColorSpan Inc., which makes wide-format digital inkjet printers. Palo Alto-based HP did not disclose financial or other terms of the deal. Minnetonka-based MacDermid ColorSpan is a subsidiary of privately held MacDermid Inc. HP said the acquisition will extend its reach into the sign shop and quick-printing market.
