Ltd has launched the new IP 1880 photo-printer in its PIXMA range of photo printers. The glossy black finish IP 1880 photo printer provides high speed, photo-lab quality print-outs. It is certified for Windows Vista and is compatible with Windows 2000/XP and Mac OS X v10.2.8. The PIXMA IP 1880 is priced at Rs. 2,995 and is available at all Canon authorized retail outlets.

Canon Pixma iP1880 Photo Printer V P Sajeevan, Assistant Director, Consumer Systems Products, Canon India, says that, "The new design of the IP 1880 enables it to fit beautifully into any home as it occupies less space on the work stations and looks attractive." The PIXMA IP 1880 printer is driven by Canon's FINE (Full-Photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print head technology, that ensures superior quality prints by delivering microscopic ink droplets as small as 2 picolitres at up to 4800x1200 dpi colour resolution. The IP 1880 comes equipped with 'one touch mounting' hybrid ink system consisting of only a dye color cartridge and a pigment black cartridge for easy use and replacement. Its pigment-based black ink allows for darker and sharper text output which makes for easier reading while its heightened marker stability makes it resistant to smearing or bleeding when using highlighter markers. It thus guarantees high clarity as well as neatness in documents. Keywords: Digital printing, Canon, photo, Pixma
