Presstek, Inc., the manufacturer and marketer of digital offset printing business solutions, has reported that it will be showing its industry-leading chemistry-free platemaking solutions at drupa 2008 (Hall 04, Stand A55). Metal platemaking systems, including the highly productive and versatile 2-page and 4-page Dimension Excel series, Dimension 800, and the Vector TX52, will be featured.
Presstek will also show its Momentum Pro workflow which is an efficient solution that enables printers to be more capable, profitable and competitive. The world’s largest printing trade show held every four years, drupa will run from May 29th through June 11th, 2008, in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Raymond Hillhouse, Sales and Operations Director, Presstek Europe, commented: "We're looking forward to drupa, it allows us to feature our latest DI digital offset press and CTP solutions, both of which have helped drive the industry’s transformation from analog to digital print production and led the way in chemistry-free platemaking solutions. We will demonstrate how our solutions enable a streamlined workflow in a chemistry-free environment that results in shorter printing cycles and lowers overall production costs, with no compromise in quality.”
Presstek’s True Chemistry-free, CTP Metal Platemaking Solutions
During drupa, Presstek will showcase a full range of CTP solutions and demonstrate how its chemistry-free metal-based CTP solutions open up additional business opportunities, enabling compliance with environmental regulations and requirements while delivering a more profitable and competitive business model.
Environmentally sustainable print production will be a key topic at drupa. Over the past 20 years, Presstek has taken the lead in delivering CTP solutions with a minimal environmental footprint. "Presstek is a pioneer in the delivery of chemistry-free CTP solutions, and we have long been able to demonstrate how faster, more cost effective prepress, enabled by chemistry-free systems, can make it easier for print service providers to improve turnaround times and profitability," stated John O’Rourke, marketing director for CTP products for Presstek.
Presstek’s Range of Dimension CTP Systems
Demonstrations of Presstek's Dimension Excel CTP systems will feature chemistry-free operation and produce daylight-safe plates. Easy-to-use standard (Dimension225 and 425) and high-productivity (Dimension250 and 450) Excel CTP systems are available in two- and four-page models. Dimension Excel delivers a high performance print solution with a streamlined workflow and high quality printed results using Presstek's Anthem Pro grained anodized plate. Anthem Pro delivers run lengths up to 100,000 impressions.
Presstek Dimension450 Excel-Autoloader
In addition, Presstek will demonstrate the Dimension450 Excel-Autoloader, which is a new plate-loading automation feature for Presstek's four-page thermal computer-to-plate (CTP) platesetter system. The Dimension450 Excel-Autoloader is a cost-effective, automated plate loader that is fully integrated with the Dimension450 and mounts up to 20 pre-punched plates for continuous operation. The Autoloader enhances imaging productivity, allowing continuous chemistry-free platemaking at a throughput speed of 17 plates per hour.
Presstek Dimension800 CTP System
The Dimension800, one of the most efficient and compact eight-page platesetters available, will also be showcased at drupa. The footprint is only 185 x 84 cm (73 x 33 inches). It is optimized to work with Presstek chemistry-free Anthem Pro plates and supports run lengths up to 100,000 impressions.
Presstek Vector TX52 CTP System
Ideally suited for the quick/small commercial or in-plant printer, the Vector TX52 provides an affordable, small-format, chemistry-free CTP solution that ../images high quality metal plates at a competitive price. The system supports run lengths up to 25,000 impressions with plates of 52 cm and under, bringing affordable metal platemaking within reach of even the smallest print operation and allowing them to benefit from the advantages of metal platemaking – such as easier press operation, durability, reusability and accurate registration. |
