Anti-dumping commission lowers benchmark duty on digital offset plates

It was the Kerala Master Printers’ Association that first took on TechNova to fight against the imposition of anti-dumping duty on digital plates from China and Japan. They have won a partial victory because the anti-dumping commission has essentially had to reverse and revise its preliminary findings. The final 77-page report issued on 4 October 2012 exempts Fujifilm CtP plates from Japan and Kodak CtP plates from China from any anti-dumping duty while it has reduced the benchmark price on CtP plates being imported from China by Fujifilm Printing Plate Company in China and Lucky Huang Graphics in China (and others) as follows:
Violet CtP plates US$ 5.81 per square metre
Thermal CtP plates US$ 5.39 per square metre
CtCP plates US$ 4.87 per square metre
