South Asian Literature Festival in the UK

The first South Asian Literature Festival took place in the UK, with 30 events at five prestigious venues around London from 15 to 25 October. These were followed by outreach events in Birmingham, Brighton, Edinburgh and Manchester between 26 and 30 October. The festival was organised by Amphora Arts, a non-profit organisation established two years ago by publishers Bhavit Mehta and Jon Slack, and has been made possible by grants from Indian construction company DSC Group, which also sponsors the Jaipur Literature Festival. The festival organisers teamed up with the Reading Agency to build a parallel program of multiple author-led events at libraries across London. ...cont´d
