Agfa Graphics plans to close down analog plate factory in Sulmona, Italy

Rapid conversion to digital printing plates leads to redeployment of production

Agfa Graphics announced on June 8, 2006 that it plans to close down its Lastra plate factory in Sulmona. The necessity to close the Sulmona factory arose due to the declining demand for its exclusively produced positive analog offset plates for medium and large run lengths as well as the rapid conversion to digital plate systems.
