Agfa Graphics announced the release of :Apogee Media 6. The new version includes an interactive flatplan that allows users to drag and drop pages and click-through to other modules of the editorial workflow, giving them complete and remote control of the publication content and layout. Apogee Media combines digital asset management (DAM) with a flexible XML-driven editorial workflow platform, and is especially designed for content creators who work in print or web-based media. Version 6.0 provides a new graphical dashboard with direct access to reservation areas, digital assets, page annotation, ad placement, article editing, image cropping, InDesign layout, preflight, soft proofing, print section management, reporting, etc.

With :Apogee Media 6.0, content creators can collaborate through a comprehensive visual flatplan representation from concept till publication. This interface reduces the publication time as creators get simultaneous access and immediate feedback on their work. Chief editors or external stakeholders can remotely track progress at a glance and guide content creators to deliver on-spec, on-budget and in-time.
This new release of :Apogee Media includes a series of other improvements and novelties. Next to the new flatplan module, interaction with InDesign CS4 through the plug-in has been updated, and integration with the underlying prepress technology for preflighting and proofing has been extended.
