Italian manufacturer Barbieri Electronic has launched a spectrophotometer optimised for measuring colour printed on fabrics and textile-like substrates. The Spectro LFP Tex uses a special carrier to ensure that samples are held accurately in place during measurement, and a wide reading aperture to ensure accurate and consistent results. With the basic model, which costs EUR 4,600 (INR 285,000), it is possible to read thin reflective media up to 2 mm thick.
