Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, and now an English daily from Mumbai

On February 12, the fast growing Bhaskar Group's Gujarati daily, Divya Bhaskar launched another edition from Rajkot with an initial print run of 52,000 copies. This was the fourth centre in Gujarat to generate a main edition of Divya Bhaskar. With the inclusion of Sauarashatra Samachar from Bhavnagar in September 2004, the group has five main publishing centres that cover all of Gujarat. Estimates of the group’s revenues vary from Rs.1200 to 1800 crore with publishing revenues estimated as high as Rs.850 crore. ...cont´d
