Heatset capacity in NCR cluster continues to grow

The Dainik Bhaskar group has opened its new marketing and coroporate office in Sector 63 in Noida. At the same time, at its printing plant in Noida's Phase II it has expanded its array of old heatset presses with a new Komori System 35S heatset web offset press. The Komori System 35S with a 546 mm cut-off and a maximum web width of 880 mm can print on stock from 40 to 130 gsm. Bhaskar is using the new press for the full colour supplements of its own Hindi daily Dainik Bhakar as well as for magazines and colour supplements for other publishers. The System 35 has been running at its full rated speed of 48,000 copies an hour. In fact all the presses in the Noida plant have been running 24 x 7 over the past several months to fulfill both in-house work and the demands of other publishers, commercial print customers such as BILT and other large international organisations. ...cont´d
