China Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair

With slightly less exhibitors and also slightly fewer visitors than last year, the Frankfurt Book Fair took place under the tightest security measures since 2001, both inside and outside the fair grounds. Demonstrations for political and religious freedom in China and autonomy for Tibet were contained at a safe distance from the fair, while visitors were thoroughly searched at the entrances and security forces patrolled passageways in each and every part of the fair. ...cont´d
