As we have written earlier, DNA started its first edition in Mumbai on 30 July 2005, right when the city was badly reeling from unprecedented rain and floods. We have since seen the paper and it seems to have stabilised considerably in terms of content and design and also in terms of its print quality. Several readers have commented on the handy 8-page business section. Although the advertising is yet to come, it will most likely come. Too many have underestimated the seriousness of the Zee Telefilm and Bhaskar group. They have been dazzled by the stories of journalists being paid far more than what others thought they were worth. However it pays in a serious start-up not to underestimate both the editorial and production resources that are needed to successfully take on the established competition. ...cont´d
