Elsevier Acquires William Andrew Publishing

Burlington, Massachusetts USA, 20 January 2009 -- Elsevier, the world’s leading publisher of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, has announced the acquisition of the publishing assets of William Andrew, Inc. ("William Andrew"). Over the last 18 months, Elsevier and William Andrew have built a strategic alliance including print distribution of William Andrew books globally (outside of North America) and electronic distribution of William Andrew content on Elsevier’s electronic publishing platforms: Science Direct and Engineering Village.
