Fespa 09 in Delhi

Fespa India 2009 held in Pragati Maidan, Hall 10 and 11 in New Delhi from the 7 to 9 December 2009 was divided into three areas -- Digital, Screen and Textiles. With textiles having almost avoided the show, the final floor plan was considerably different from what was shown on the website. Screen printing on textiles was on show as were the entries to the FESPA India Premier Awards. The first day  seemed crowded but on the second and third day the crowd was relatively thin. The exhibitorswere fewer when compared to 2006 and 2007 although close in number to 2008. The footfall was also much less than last year. Most of the exhibitors, we spoke with, were not pleased with the footfalls or the marketing done to attract crowds to the exhibition. Although some of the bigger players like HP managed to pull crowds with catwalks, product launches and their own customers.
