Kolor Kode breaks into digital printing with Indigo 5500

HP organized a press conference at Bangalore on 9 Jan 2009 to announce the installation of the first HP Indigo 5500 installation in Karnataka at Kolor Kode and to strengthen their position in the digital press segment in the Southern market. Speaking on the occasion HP’s Puneet Chadha said, “the HP Indigo 5500 will help Kolor Kode to establish its position in the digital printing business by providing them the flexibility, quality and job capability and helping them explore newer business opportunities targeted both at businesses as well as customers.” With a few figures he explained that digital growth in any print segment worldwide exceeds the over all growth of the segment. According to Chadha, in the packaging segment the over all growth is 4 per cent and digital growth in the sector is 59 per cent. In the labels segment, over all growth is 4 per cent and digital growth is 45 per cent. Chadha added that with this installation, HP completes 52 installations of its Indigo machines across the country in the last two and a half years, although HP’s focus is not on the number of machines installed but how many prints can be generated with the machines. ...cont´d
