Canon imagePRESS 1135 has been installed at Avantika printer in New Delhi on 18 January, 2010. This is the first installation of imagePRESS 1135 in India. In January, 2008 a Canon C7000VP was also installed at Avantika printer.

M N Pandey, Director, Avantika Printers told IPP that they needed a machine for bulk production with less cost, so they decided to install the imagePRESS 1135. “This is a good machine for high volume and low cost. We will use this machine for variable data printing, key ring printing, printing for book publishers and other forms of printing” said Pandey. The machine has the ability to print on a range of substrates from 50 to 300 gsm of paper.
Alok Bhardwaj, senior vice president Canon told IPP, “We showed imagePRESS 1135 at last IPEX. Avantika printer is an old and valuable costumer. This press is good for variable data printing, book printing and for bulk production at low cost. This imagePRESS has the same resolution as C6000 and C7000 presses.
“We have big plans for the year 2010. This year we will focus on costumer relationship, new production presses like imagePRESS1135 and 1110, and entry level colour segment presses. Canon is organising a program called ‘Canon Partners Professional Programme’ where there will be one annual meet with our customers for 2 to 3 days. It will help deepen relationship with our customers. We will also take their help for our sales” says Bhardwaj.
