The BBC is at an advanced stage of negotiations to acquire a large stake in the magazine division of Bennett, Coleman, India's most successful newspaper publishing group and formerly an influential critic of foreign investment in domestic print media. The British broadcaster, which publishes best-selling television listings titles in the UK, would acquire interests in Bennett, Coleman's film and lifestyle magazines, as well as a live-events unit that runs the Miss India beauty pageants. ...cont´d
