The inauguration of the book fair saw the organisers address the controversial issue of having invited China as the guest of honour. Juergen Boos, Director, FBF addressed the issue -- "China can be admired, feared or criticised, but it cannot be ignored. China fascinates and irritates us – we accept the challenge! Engaging difficult countries is the way forward, we can no longer ignore them." ...cont´d
