Heidelberg officially inaugurates new Shanghai plant

Second plant already under construction. 66 and 78 cm folders in production — SM 52 press assembly begins

On September 28, 2006, Heidelberg officially inaugurated its new assembly plant in Qingpu industrial zone on the western edge of Shanghai. This is Heidelberg’s first Asian plant. “Now that this new assembly facility has opened, the products we manufacture there can be supplied direct to our customers in China,” explained Bernhard Schreier, Chief Executive Officer of the company. “It also means that we are strengthening our already strong position in the growing Asian market.” ...cont´d
