Hindustan Times buys three more Krause CtPs

Newspapers speed up CtP conversion
July 20, 2004

HT Media has moved its three Krause LS 200 CtP systems installed in end-2003 to its brand new plant in Greater Noida. This is where the computer to plate devices feed the three recently commissioned MAN Roland Colorman presses. HT Media has also purchased three more Krause CtP’s, the fastest available LS 300 violet photopolymer CtP systems for their new plant in the Thane suburb of Mumbai. The Mumbai edition of the Hindustan Times is scheduled to start up in July. The Krause Jetflow workflow software will drive these extremely fast devices and the processors will be supplied by Haase.

These Krause sales are part of the Indian newspapers now speeding up their CtP conversion. Krause itself made a large sale of multiple CtP’s to the Deccan Herald group that will be shipped and installed in this financial year.

Agfa, Screen and ECRM
Agfa has made a deal with Dainik Bhaskar for seven thermal CtP’s and at least two violet CtPs to The Hindu for its Delhi plant. Screen has sold two thermal CtP’s to the Dainik Jagran group as reported in our last issue. Mathrabhoomi has bought five ECRM Newsmatic CtPs and Malayala Manorama has purchased eleven ECRM News CtPs.
