On Thursday, 7 October 2010, the post-conference “WAN-IFRA Advertising Summit” will take place in Hamburg. This event is organised in cooperation with INMA, the International Newspaper Marketing Association.

The new Messe Hamburg offers optimal conditions for IFRA Expo that will be held in three halls: hall A1 for digital technologies, systems and software, halls A3 and A4 for prepress, printing and finishing. The new “Media Port” in hall A1 will show publishing trends in online, mobile and print, with best practice examples from across the world. It is of interest not only for newspaper production managers, but also and especially for magazine and corporate publishers.

In addition to the official opening on Monday morning at 9.30 h and the Get-Together on Monday evening starting at 18.00 h, WAN-IFRA plans to hold a closing event on Wednesday evening. At this event, the award winners of the competition for membership in the International Newspaper Color Quality Club 2010–2012 will receive their prizes.

WAN-IFRA based in Paris, France, and Darmstadt, Germany, with subsidiaries in Singapore, India, Spain and Sweden, is the global organisation of the world’s newspapers and news publishers. It represents more than 18,000 publications, 15,000 online sites and over 3,000 companies in more than 120 countries. The organisation was created by the merger of the World Association of Newspapers and IFRA, the research and service organisation for the news publishing industry.
