This year, the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair will celebrate the Gulf region’s close historical ties to India through a series of events celebrating Indian culture showcased under the ‘Day in India’ theme. As well as offering visitors a fascinating professional program, the fair will feature a significant literary presence from India: poets, screenwriters and a number of high-profile novelists, including Amit Chaudhuri and M T Vasudevan Nair. On Saturday 6 March, guests will be invited to spend ‘A Day in India.’ Designed to highlight the cultural offerings of the vast and diverse nation, ‘A Day in India’ will feature a program of events, talks and book signings by renowned Indian authors, and cultural events including the preparation of mouth-watering delicacies by Indian chefs in live demonstrations. ...cont´d
