Some exhibitors express satisfaction in spite of muted visitor turnout on first three days

Mumbai has, as expected, responded well to the show. While there was mixed anticipation and anxiety over the visitor response, the crowds at least over the weekend reflected Mumbai’s commercial interest and its resilience. Of course the combined marketing might of HP, Canon, Kodak, Xerox et al also ensured good visitor turn out. However, the most notable feature has been the absence of the commercial print and newspaper segment. “I was expecting a bigger show. This is too small to be termed as Ipex,” said Kiran Prayagi of Graphics Arts Technical Education, a visitor to the show. While the visitors were largely Mumbai based, there was a notable presence of visitors, especially on day two, from Gujarat, Karnataka and Delhi. ...cont´d
