Digital printing and especially colour production printing which thus far had seen slow growth is now gaining traction in India. This is largely because of the improved quality at all three levels — light production, mid-production and the heavy duty colour presses. While estimates vary, industry experts expect the installs of the colour production presses to increase anywhere from 15% to 27% in the current financial year. Black and white digital presses especially for printing books on demand have also gained traction as the A3 click charge has come down to H0.18 and these installs are expected to grow at a rate of 35% in the current year. ...cont´d
