Indian Presence at Frankfurt Book Fair’s 60th Anniversary

In 2006, India was Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Since the beginning of 2008, the Frankfurt Book Fair has a presence in India with its German Book Office (GBO) in New Delhi. Following in the footsteps of the fair’s existing offices in New York, Beijing, Moscow and Bucharest, the GBO is to operate as a permanent facilitator. Together with international partners - Goethe-Institut, Wellbound, Indian Printer and Publisher, Confederation of Indian Industry, Harper Collins India, Zubaan and Draupadi Publishing and Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti -- the Frankfurt Book Fair and the GBO New Delhi have organized a large number of events on the subject of India at the upcoming Frankfurt Book Fair to be held October 15 to 19, 2008.
