Chemline is a manufacturer of water based wet, dry and hot melt lamination adhesives, overprint varnishes, UV varnishes, heat seal coatings, cold seals, pressure sensitive adhesives, thermal lamination films and binding gum. The company received at least four large bulk orders from Ipex visitors.

Cosmo Films
Established in 1981, Cosmo was the first company in India to produce BOPP film. The company has seven BOPP manufacturing installations as well as metallisation and lacking stations. It also operates ten extrusion layering installations for the production of thermal lamination films. Its production capacities amount to 96,000 metric tonnes a year for BOPP film and 38,000 metric tonnes a year for thermal lamination films. In 2009, it had a sales turnover of US$ 240 million (Rs 1,080 crore) including its June take over of the GBC Films Group in Holland, a manufacturer of film and lamination equipment which has since been focusing on the sales of film. With GBC, Cosmo obtained a strong production and sales base for the European and North American markets.
Cosmo is ISO 9001 and 14001 certified, and has implemented BRC/IOP certification for foodstuffs, security and hygiene. At Ipex, Cosmo showcased a range of pressure sensitive label stock and laminates for in-mould and other label and flexible packaging applications. Based in Delhi with manufacturing sites in Aurangabad and Karjan, Cosmo has sales offices across India and in Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, the UAE and the USA. According to its staff at the show, the company participates in most of the major international trade fairs, mainly for promoting brand identity, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and prospecting new avenues.
Line O Matic
As a first time Ipex exhibitor, Line O Matic showcased an automatic counting and folding machine, a cut-size sheeter and ream-wrapping machine, and a fully automatic exercise book machine. The company is known across South and Central Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East for its notebook and exercise book ruling and converting machinery, and came to Ipex with the expectation to meet prospects from these regions.
Line O Matic general manager HT Hirpara explained to us that he was disappointed by the low response, as he had invested in a relatively large stand. Situated in the postpress equipment hall, he had witnessed that most interest went to the hyped and marketing-savvy larger vendors such as Duplo, Hunkeler, Horizon, Kolbus and Müller-Martini. He did however consider his participation as an important learning experience with regard to the company’s possible participation in other trade fairs.
Patel Enterprises
Mumbai-based Patel Enterprises had a 5-colour Om label press on show, which it sold to a company from Hungary. Patel is a manufacturer of hybrid label and continuous stationery printing presses in configurations of 2, 4, 6 or 8-colours in offset and up to 4-colours in flexo. The presses can be fitted with rotary screen, flatbed and rotary diecutting, and foil stamping units, and reach speeds of 12,000 impressions an hour. Patel also manufactures security and variable data printing systems, collating machines, mailing systems, numbering and barcode printing systems.
Sigma, Zenith, The Roller Company
Sigma Rollers, Zenith Rubber and the Roller Company showcased their range of ink and dampening rollers for printing presses. Sigma also has a collaboration with Japanese manufacturer Katsura, an OEM supplier to manroland and most Japanese press manufacturers, including Komori, Hamada, Ryobi, and Mitsubishi.
