Jochen Meissner of Goss speaks with IPP

We caught up with Goss International president and CEO Jochen Meissner at the joint Shanghai Electric and Goss stand at Ipex. He said to us, “This is perhaps the first time that the two companies have exhibited alongside each other outside China.” We discussed a wide range of issues both historical and technical with Meissner whose confidence in the new scenario for Goss is based on both Goss and SEG sharing a focus on innovative technology driven solutions for print. Regarding the situation of Goss International vis a vis the general downturn in the newspaper industry and the need for restructuring and consolidation, Meissner who is knowledgeable about the industry’s history, said, “We are really the first company to be emerging from private equity ownership and being acquired by an industrial company, which is where we need to be.
