IppStar Update — top end installs to grow 50%

It has been several years since we tracked installations of label presses in India and while this is unfortunately not an exact science yet, we expect in the coming year to completely rewrite our seminal article of December 2003 ‘Labels Shining and Industry Thinking,’ that is available on the IppStar website. By 30 June 2011, we will completely validate the entire footprint of dedicated label production capacity in both square metres and Indian rupees together with our detailed trend forecasts. The year-long research project, which began 1 July 2010, will include extensive primary interviews of input suppliers (machinery and consumables), processors (the label printers and converters) and the end users (pharma, FMCG, oil and other label consuming segments). ...cont´d
