Journalists are destined to disappear but they don’t know it

Le Monde has been saved from its impending solvency by a successful takeover bid by three French businessmen, Pierre Berge, Xavier Niel and Matthieu Pigasse. On 28 June 2010, the supervisory board comprising the journalist-owners of the paper voted to accept the bid after rejecting an earlier bid led by magazine owner Claude Perdriel and France Telecom. ...cont´d
