Stora Enso has refined this popular brand and improved its production methods to make it more sustainable. MultiCopy Laser currently carries the Nordic Swan, Elementary Chlorine free and EU Flower eco labels. Along with these features, it is FSC Certified also. The paper mill is ISO 14001 certified and EMAS registered. This paper is mechanically and biologically degradable 100 per cent recyclable.

This paper has an extremely smooth surface, which accentuates even pale colour shades and sharpness and clarity in reproduction. It is manufactured in weights from 80 to 160 gsm and is currently available from Shree Papers in A4 and A3 sizes in 120 gsm although it is planned to import the other weights as required. MultiCopy Colour Laser has gained newly established ColorLok mark after passing comprehensive tests for inkjet and laser printers. Local printers have already used the newly available paper on their HP and Xerox digital presses. The paper is claimed to work on all digital presses currently available and is also well-suited for inkjet applications.

ColorLok
Several printer and paper manufacturers have supported the new ColorLok paper standard, aimed at improving paper quality for better printing. Since print quality is determined by the way that ink spreads across and penetrates the paper, ColorLok papers are engineered with special additives that result in faster drying time, more vivid colours and bolder blacks. These additives chemically react with inkjet inks, causing the ink to absorb more deeply into the paper while holding the pigment close to the surface resulting in sharper and more vivid results. ColorLok meets a range of concise specifications that apply to inkjet and laser printing, as well as standard copy machines.

Shobhit Jain, Director Sales and Marketing, Shree Paper told us, “MultiCopy Colour is very popular in Europe and now it has been launched in India. It contains a wide range of high end office and digital printing paper to fulfill the demand of these segments in the market. It will be beneficial for both – the market and us.”
