Newspapers in Bengal come to a stop during Durga Puja

Few knew that Poriborton (change) would deprive the average newsreader in West Bengal of newspapers on all four days of the Durga Puja. Earlier it was only on the day after Dussera that residents didn’t have a newspaper to read. According to the Trinamool Congress-led hawkers’ union this has been a long standing demand of the hawkers that had been ignored by the previous government.
