Ranjit Singh, CEO TechBooks , has been involved in creating growth strategies since he joined the company in 2002 . Indian Printer and Publisher met him recently to discuss his company’s strategy for growth. The US based company with its knowledge processing centres in Delhi was earlier active only in the professional market, that is for its science, technology and medical typesetting just like many of the other large export typesetting facilities such as Thomson and Macmillan. The difference was that TechBooks based in the US, one of the first to scale up its operations, was also an early advocate of using XML right at the inception of document creation, sensing that the repurposing of documents was going to become a necessary requirement in the business. The company is a proponent of end-to-end XML solutions at all phases of the workflow, XML workflows that enhance editorial and composition services and benefit both print and electronic publishing. ...cont´d
