In 1996 Anupam Shrivastava started the Hindi wall newspaper Pratibadh in collaboration with an international aid organization and the Patna dairy project in Bihar to create awareness among the rural populace about their surroundings and issues directly connected to their livelihood such as farming and animal husbandry. While the initial print runs were of a 1000 copies, the broadsheet fortnightly was at 25,000 copies 3 years ago. Now down to three editions the circulation has increased to 41,000 — Bihar 17000, Punjab 9000 and Haryana 15000. ...cont´d
