Printools is most widely known across the country for the 5-clamp Appu perfect binder. Moreover, the company is one of the oldest printing engineering companies in the country with complete infrastructure, from an ISO 9000 certified foundry for heavy castings, to modern specialised machining centres, and assembly and research and development of new products, primarily for the book binding segment. Neverthless, we were a bit surprised to learn that the company manufactured a typecasting machine in 1959 that was marketed worldwide by the Monotype Corporation.
