Pearson Education in India is headquartered on Knowledge Boulevard in Sector 62, Noida. It primarily publishes books for students who will appear for CBSE and ICSE board exams and does some publishing work for state boards in the North East. Pearson also creates some content for Sarva Siksha Abhyaan, the Government of India ‘Education for All’ initiative for the 6 to 14 age group. The group introduces approximately 600 new titles each year across all segments. In total, Pearson publishes about 10,000 titles. Vivek Govil, president and Ceo of Pearson Education says, “It’s a long tail business and we have about 2,500 to 3,000 titles that are big sellers.” ...cont´d
