Publishing history project launched at London Book Fair

On 21 April 2010 -- the last day of the London Book Fair, the launch of an ambitious project was announced, that is to piece together the history of the publishing industry. The History Project, hosted at the BookBrunch site with support from the Anglia Ruskin University in the UK, will also facilitate the easy identification of orphan works and orphan lists, imprints, even entire companies, that long ago changed hands, their genealogy lost to all but a handful of individuals. BookBrunch is an information site and daily news service for the book industry.
