Printpack was extremely successful for the Indian postpress equipment industry. Postpress automation really came into its own at the show as printers and publishers are looking to upgrade both quality and speed without the headaches of manual operations. Apart from losses to due poor quality and timeliness the extra management and built up space required by manual postpress operations make it impractical. Although this was an area where corner cutting was the norm, now the approach is to upgrade postpress and binding operation as fast as possible using the much wider range and increased access to both imported and locally manufactured equipment. ...cont´d
