Bata should compete with Reebok, Udipi restaurants with McDonalds, Zee TV with the CNN, but not Indian papers with foreign papers . . . This is the false stand of Indian newspaper owners who worry that readers will desert their papers for domestically printed foreign papers. However, since the newspaper owners cannot admit that they want all industries opened up except theirs, they campaign that foreign papers will "destabilise" India by spreading misinformation about Kashmir. ...cont´d
