Plans are at an advanced stage for establishing a South Asian Media Academy aimed at raising journalistic standards and quality of content. A meeting of international experts was held in December in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to discuss the scope, scale and funding of the academy, which is to become “an inclusive media institute providing training, state of the art facilities and cutting edge skills to meet the demands of this region and to build honest, courageous, energetic, passionate and skilled media professionals.” ...cont´d
