Continuing our review of Indian vendors of editorial systems we look at Summit’s NewsPro the editorial solution along with AdPro, AssetPro and Indica — their advertising, digital asset management and font solution for Indian languages. The strength of the Indian vendors of editorial solutions lies in their font solutions for non-Roman languages and scripts. Summit began with developing these font solutions and offering them to Indian publishing houses and then later on built advertising solutions as a viable alternative to international solutions. After the advertising solutions came the editorial and digital asset management solutions which now make Indian solutions providers more than competitive for Indian vernacular publications when compared to international vendors.
