Supreme Court reverses Mumbai High Court ruling on Best bus shelter signage contract

At the beginning of December 2009, the Supreme Court set aside a Bombay High Court judgment that had rejected BEST Mumbai’s decision to award a contract to Bennett Coleman and Prithvi Associates for upgrading and decorating its bus passenger shelters in the city. Upholding the BEST contract with the two suppliers, the Supreme Court Bench headed by Chief Justice KG Balakrishnan requested the awardees to strictly abide by the terms of the contract.
