Puja Printech buys new web, stitcher, CtP and 4-colour sheetfed

There may be many reasons for Patna in Bihar to emerge as an even stronger printing hub but the evident reason from our last visit to the city remains text book printing. The central government’s Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan scheme for complete national literacy provides funds for free books, educational materials and school or tutorial instruction. Under this scheme approximately a hundred million (10 crore) text books will be printed this year in the state. The orders for text books are expected to more than double to 250 million books next year, and thus the printers of Patna are gearing up for strong growth in the coming year. ...cont´d
