The long awaited and initial public offering of shares of DB Corporation publishers of the Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar and Gujarati daily Divya Bhaskar finally arrived for subscription from 11 to 15 December 2009. DB Corporation also publishes Saurashtra Samachar, and Business Bhaskar. It is also joint owner of Diligent Media Corporation together with Zee Television Group that publishes the English daily DNA. DB Corp also owns 17 FM radio stations although these like the DNA English daily are relatively recent investments and similarly have yet to break even. Speaking to journalists in Mumbai on 9 December, Director Girish Agarwal said, “We are looking at new markets and to consolidate our existing business.” ...cont´d
