The English daily war goes to Mumbai

The commercial and entertainment capital of the country is also the headquarters of the Bennett Coleman group, publishers of The Times of India and The Economic Times, the two circulation leading English broadsheet dailies in their respective segments. Although the circulation of TOI is lower in Mumbai than in Delhi, its pagination has always been higher in Mumbai and so has its ad rate. Mumbai has always been seen as the cash cow of the group and certainly a metropolis that enjoys about 25 per cent of the national print advertising market. ...cont´d
