Although it has its detractors, one assumes that the readership survey is a somewhat useful metric of what is happening to media habits of consumers. We have been assured by leading publishers that declining readership correlates directly with declining circulation. The competitive posturing of some of the English language dailies is ironic since it is clear that it is mainly the language dailies that are increasing in readership or making significant gains. ...cont´d
